The Manchester International
Youth Cycle Tour is Britain’s biggest youth cycle tour event. Attracting 247
riders last year. This exciting and friendly competition is open to teams of
four, individuals, boys and girls.

Welcome to the City of Manchester International Youth Cycle Tour.
Established as an annual youth cycle event,
This event will start
on the afternoon of Friday 16th August at Platt Fields Park (Criterium),
followed by a full day at Brookdale Park (Time Trial & Criterium) on Saturday
17th August. The event will conclude with its final race (Criterium)
in the City Centre of Manchester around the Town Hall, Albert Square Circuit on
Sunday 18th August. The weekend’s achievements will be recognised
at a prize presentation to be held at the Town Hall in the heart of
Manchester’s Albert Square.
Closing date for entries: Monday 15th July 2002. This will be strictly adhered to.

Entry fees:
Category A, B, C, & F : £20.00
No entry forms will be accepted unless the correct
entry fee is enclosed. All entry forms must be correctly completed and MUST
include date of birth, licence number, recent results and national ranking.
Incorrectly completed entry forms will be returned.
Eligibility to compete: Entries
only open to boys holding Youth Category Licences and born 1986 or later and
Junior and Youth Girls. No Youth Boys with dispensation to rider as a Junior are
eligible. All riders must hold a full UCI recognised Competition Licence.
Teams: In categories A, B, C, D, E, teams will consist of three or four riders. Team Awards and prizes will be based on the total time of the team’s best three riders.
In category F, teams will consist of three or four
riders. Team Award and prizes will be based on the total time of the team’s
best two riders. Maximum number of
riders per team will be four.
Each category will have a restricted number of fifty competitors. Where a category is oversubscribed it will
be divided into (a) & (b) races.
