to our web site. We aim to offer cycling opportunities to all children in the UK and hope you will find our site interesting and useful.
To increase the number of active cyclists amongst young people of school age and to offer them a wide range of educational experiences in the enjoyment of cycling.
Founded in 1967 we have, for the past 37 years promoted the sport and pastime of cycling for all young people and have offered opportunities for an increasing number to enjoy the benefits of all aspects of cycling. We now aim to continue and to increase the success we have enjoyed over the years in encouraging young people to continue their enjoyment of cycling into adult life.
In the past this has led to a large number of our members progressing to membership of Senior Governing Bodies and to many of them competing with distinction at National and International Level.
Few human powered sports span utility, leisure and competition. BSCA has the unique and sole focus of providing young people of school age with opportunity to experience all aspects of cycling and creating opportunities for them to participate. By providing them with an educational experience we can contribute to their personal development.
